Dr. Julie Herndon grew up in Saratoga. After graduating from Saratoga High School (go Falcons!), she attended the University of Southern California and received a degree in Exercise Physiology. She then returned to the Bay Area and graduated from the University of the Pacific School of Dentistry in San Francisco, where she received her Doctorate degree in Dental Surgery with highest honors. Dr. Herndon then began practicing dentistry in the same office as her father and taught dental students for several years at the Dental School.
She has been practicing in this Saratoga location for almost 30 years, and she’s proud to have served multiple generations of local residents. While she has been practicing a long time, she enjoys staying current with the latest technology to provide conservative, gentle, and reliable treatment to meet the needs of each individual patient. The exact same care she provides to her friends and family.
In her free time, Dr. Herndon enjoys gardening, hiking, cooking, quilting, and training her rescue dogs. She is also a strong believer of “giving back” and has been an active member of Saratoga Rotary Club for 20 years (including serving as president in 2015). She has been on many medical missions to Central America with Rotaplast International assisting with cleft lip palate surgeries. Dr. Herndon has also participated locally for years with the “Give Kids A Smile” program in Santa Clara County to provide free screenings and dental care to kids in need. She is also an active member of the Santa Clara County Dental Society.
