Dr. Julie Herndon, a Saratoga native, graduated from Saratoga High School (go Falcons!) before pursuing a degree in Exercise Physiology at the University of Southern California. She returned to the Bay Area to attend the University of the Pacific School of Dentistry in San Francisco, where she earned her Doctorate in Dental Surgery with highest honors. Following her graduation, Dr. Herndon joined her father’s dental practice and also spent several years teaching dental students at the same institution.
She has been practicing at this Saratoga location since 1991 and takes pride in having served multiple generations of local residents. Despite her extensive experience, she remains committed to staying up-to-date with the latest technology, ensuring she offers conservative, gentle, and reliable treatment tailored to each patient’s unique needs. She delivers the same high standard of care to her patients as she would to her own friends and family.
When not in the office, Dr. Herndon enjoys gardening, hiking, cooking, quilting, and Bonsai. She is passionate about family which includes her husband, three sons, two grandchildren and three rescue German Shepherds. A strong advocate for community service, she has been an active member of the Saratoga Rotary Club since 2000, including a term as president in 2015. Dr. Herndon has participated in numerous medical missions to Central America with Rotaplast International, assisting with cleft lip and palate surgeries. Locally, she has dedicated years to the “Give Kids A Smile” program in Santa Clara County, providing free dental screenings and care to children in need.
